We reused the home owners existing furniture but reduced the visual clutter. It was a great place to dwell but not so great to sell.
We left just enough feeling of home but not over done so it makes for a great listing photos.
We allowed the spaces to flow together visually to maximize the space, especially important in listing photos. Then created a division to identify the purpose of each space, living room and dining room. So what we were left was an open airy, well lit space that was neutral and yet had some interesting contrasting colors.
The same applies to kitchen staging. Less can be so much more attractive.
